As spring turns to summer, the highly anticipated 2026 Dakeng Butterfly and Firefly Carnival has kicked off in Taichung! This year, professional ecological guide teams have once again been invited to lead visitors through Dakeng's natural environment, exploring shimmering fireflies in the softly lit night and dancing butterflies day.

The event is divided into two main chapters. In April, the Spring Firefly Experience opens the season, inviting visitors into a tranquil forest hideaway to witness the enchanting sight of glowing fireflies scattered among the trees—a rare scene in the city. In May and June, the Summer Butterfly Experience takes over. In addition to observing butterflies in flight, visitors can also join hands-on workshops such as zentangle-style coaster painting and phone lanyard making, transforming this natural beauty into soothing keepsakes for everyday life.

In addition to these rich ecological experiences, participation also includes a meal box and a limited-edition souvenir. Families with children and friends who love nature are all warmly invited to step into Dakeng and through guided explanations by professional instructors, learn how to protect this land together while creating warm and eco-friendly spring and summer memories.
