National-designated historical site, the Lin family Mansion and Garden in Wufeng usually refers to the mansion and garden located in the Azhaowu area (now the downtown area of Wufeng). The historical site comprises 3 parts: the Lower Mansion, the Upper Mansion, and the Lai Garden.
The Lower Mansion includes Caocuo, Gongbaodi, Dahuating, Erfangcuo, and Ershibajian. The Upper Mansion covers Yi Garden, Rongjingzhai, Jingxun Building, and Shincuo. The Lai Garden now is Shin Min High School, which is what most people regard as “the Lin Family Garden”.
The Gongbaodi garden area open to the public in the Lin Family Mansion and Garden in Wufeng is confined to the 2 parts of Gongbaodi and Dahuating in the Lower Mansion. It is currently run by the Linbentang Corporation, offering very sound tour guide services and enhancing the development of sightseeing in Wufeng.
