Introduction

Anchor
Established in the Qianlong Emperor period of the Qing Dynasty, Lishui Fishing Harbor is one of Taichung’s six fishing harbors. The abandoned Coast Guard Administration (CGA) checkpoint on the embankment was renovated into a Mediterranean-style viewing platform: The blue and white concrete building, arches, windows, bell pendulums and hearts on fences. All of these have turned this place the first choice for newly married couples to take wedding photos. There are also cycling routes at Lishui Fishing Harbor, allowing tourists to ride along the coast in the sea breeze.

Lishui Fishing Harbor situated next to the estuary of Dadu River also has rich marine resources and tidal ecology: During ebb tide, you can see biological activities, such as those of small crabs, in the mud area. This place is also a great place for watching birds, where the period between October and May of the following year is the main bird watching season. When the night falls, many photography amateurs are often attracted by the afterglow of the setting sun falls above the sea level.
