The historic building Datun County Hall is located in the heart of Taichung’s old city. Originally the site of the Imperial Examination Hall during the Qing Dynasty, it later became a local government office during the Japanese era, serving as the administrative center of early Taichung. After World War II, it was used as Xinguang Seventh Village and the Taichung Military Radio Station, bearing witness to the social changes and historical evolution of the city.

Just a 7-minute drive from Taichung Railway Station, it enjoys convenient transportation access. Following restoration, it has become an important cultural landmark of the old city.
