This year's National Day Gala will be on October 9th at the Fulfillment Amphitheatre. The program design cleverly integrates the solemnity of celebrating national birthdays, Taiwan's unique cultural customs, and the urban vitality of Taichung City, allowing everyone to see the rich side and vibrant culture of Taiwan.
The evening party specially invites multiple groups of artists from different generations and styles. One of the most eye-catching highlights is the performance by four senior Taiwanese artists: Hu Gua, Pai Bing-Bing, Yang Fan, and Ye Ai-Ling (Irene Yeh). They will recreate the magnificent style of the classic Taiwanese variety show "Diamond Stage."
Taichung City Symphony Orchestra, playing classic Taiwanese folk songs and internationally famous songs, will kick off the opening performance of the evening party, followed by a dance full of youthful vitality by students from the "Youth Senior High School", dancing together to express blessings and joy to the country. During the vital part of singing the national anthem, besides featuring a flag-guarding procession, accompanied by over 200 representatives from Taichung's business and industrial groups, symbolizing the unity and confidence of the people working for Taiwan.
You do not need tickets to join this evening's party; you only need to queue up for free admission from 4:30 pm on the event day. At the same time, to expand the benefits of National Day, the organizer will set off this year's fireworks in Nantou County the next day (10/10). The Taichung City Government has partnered with over 100 hotels, restaurants, and shops to offer special discounts during the National Day holiday.
