The Taichung International Flower Carpet Festival is Taiwan’s most anticipated floral celebration. This year’s installation design draws inspiration from The Powerpuff Girls on Cartoon Network, blending beloved animated elements with the artistry of floral design.
This year’s festival features the largest main floral carpet ever created, standing 18 meters tall and spanning 60 meters in diameter, with Mojo Jojo’s base as the highest point of the installation. The main display comes to life automatically every 30 minutes, combining bubbles, mist effects, and mechanical motion to create a magical atmosphere. Moreover, several art installations across the venue showcase characters such as Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup, and Professor Utonium, as well as classic scenes from the animated series.
While pursuing artistic innovation, we are equally committed to local engagement and sustainable practices. Over 300 elders, children, and residents from Xinshe and Dongshi participated in floral art creation. The City Government has once again integrated the Central Taiwan Agricultural Marketing and Sales Fair, bringing together specialty agricultural products from eight counties and cities, including Taichung, to create the largest agricultural exchange platform in central Taiwan—aimed at boosting local industries and tourism. The Powerpuff Girls-themed pavilion features over 200 exclusive products, including fruit gift boxes developed in collaboration with local farmers and DIY mushroom-growing kits. More importantly, after the festival concludes, some of the flowers will be donated to local communities and schools, embodying the festival’s core values of “sharing, circularity, and regeneration."
