Qingshui Military Dependents' Village Cultural Park
Old village revitalized
Located right across Taichung City Seaport Art Center, Qingsui Military Dependents' Village Cultural Park features historic houses and beautiful window grills. In addition to art installations, it is revitalized with occasional art exhibitions and pop-up markets that draw visitors on weekends.
 
Other than the renowned Qingshui rice cakes, Sergeant's Handmade Noodles nearby Qingshui Military Dependents' Village Cultural Park is a highly recommended dish as well. The thickness of the noodles varies since it is handmade. Drizzled with a specialty sauce mixed with fried garlic, the incredible taste of this simple-looking local dish will definitely linger for the longest you have experienced.

Taichung City Seaport Art Center
Minnan styled art center
Taichung City Seaport Art Center features small bridges and flowing water in its outdoor plaza. The elegant minnan-style architectures that surround also attract tourists with cameras. If you happen to be starving after enjoying the exhibitions at the art center, you can easily grab some traditional snacks in the area. Qingshui Military Dependents' Village is also a great place to visit.

A trip to the coastal area of Taichung will be incomplete without a visit to Gaomei Wetland, a great natural museum where visitors can closely observe creatures of the intertidal zone. Fan-Shaped Roundhouse
The last remaining train head roundhouse in Taiwan
The fan-shaped roundhouse in Changhua is the last remaining train head roundhouse nationwide. This precious historic monument signifying the history of Taiwan railway development is where steam train heads are maintained and repaired. To this day, visitors can still see railway staff operating the turntable to allocate train heads in and out of the roundhouse.

Mt. Bagua Buddha Scenic Area
The Guardian and Landmark of Changhua 
The 22-meter tall Great Buddha Statue of Bagua Mountain is a renowned landmark of Changhua. The trail leading up to the towering statue is guarded by solemn Guanyin statues on both sides. Visitors can tour inside the Great Buddha, learn about the Buddha's story, or enjoy a spectacular overlook of Changhua City at the Jiulong Pond observation deck.

Lukang Old Street
Compelling Charm of a Small Town
Lukang Old Street was the most commercially prosperous town in a past era. Roaming on the aged red brick roads is certainly a good way to reminisce the olden days. Some most visited tourist sites include the incredibly narrow Moru Alley and Lukang Longshan Temple which is dubbed the Forbidden City of Taiwan. Another way to tour around Lukang in limited time is to hop on a tricycle that will take you around. Engaging with locals is also recommended.

Lukang Tianhou Temple
Extravagant Architectural Beauty in the Temple Built in Qing Dynasty
Built in early Qing Dynasty, Lukang Tianhou Temple is the religious center of Lukang Township. To this day, the exquisite paintings, wood and stone carvings indicative of different historical periods are well maintained and preserved. Inside the Golden River Hall, the elaborate wooden caisson ceiling is the one of the most impressive architectural features of Lukang Tianhou Temple.
